LA02 - Hummer

LA02 Hummer, a male bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus), was reported on October 15, 2005 following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in Cameron Parish, Louisiana in a very shallow stagnating ditch alongside a state highway. The stagnant water had an oily substance on its surface. There was no need to use a net to catch the animal, as the area was so small. TMMSN rescued and released Hummer on October 16, 2005.
